Resumes – Some Helpful Hints

July 21

1. Make sure it’s easy to contact you. Don’t bury your information on the bottom. Make it front and center.

2. Highlight the good stuff and keep them wanting more. You want to lay out your experience for each job but don’t provide too much detail. That’s what the interview is for!

3. Keep it to two pages max! If you are a candidate who has been working for sometime, leave the early jobs off your resume or cut back on job descriptions. Again, two pages max.

4. Go in sequence of current or last job and then your job history. Make it easy for hiring managers to see your experience.

5. PROOF, PROOF, PROOF – nothing worse than a silly error on your resume. Such as saying your second job on your resume is to present and your current job is too? Make sure you look at the details.

Jill is a true professional. Knowledgeable, friendly, fast and most importantly relentless. An ex-digital media professional herself, so she is that rare person that understands the market and positions she fills intimately. She has been a great resource for our company at our time of hyper growth, delivering in less than perfect conditions , which is the mark of only the best in the business. I highly recommend her.
